Proving that they are still contenders after each having spent over 40 years taking their folk and western roots music to audiences from one coast of Canada to the other, Valdy and Gary Fjellgaard performed before a sold out audience at the Horizon Stage in Spruce Grove on April 23rd, 2016. The two timeless artists have just finished their third joint album, "Contenders 3: Off The Floor". The album features acoustic versions of some new original material plus some old favorites of classic songs recorded by others, all done live in the studio by just the two of them and their guitars.
