July 1, 2016 - Canada Day celebrated with Country Music in St Albert, Fort Saskatchewan and Millwoods
Canada's 149th birthday, occurring on July 1st, 2016, was celebrated with country music in the Edmonton area at Stony Plain, St Albert, Fort Saskatchewan and Millwoods in Edmonton. Saskatchewan's Codie Prevost performed in Stony Plain in the early part of the day and then was the headline performer in Fort Saskatchewan that evening. Mitch Smith and Kasha Anne, who form The Orchard, started the day off in St Albert before heading to Athabasca for their Magnificent River Rats Festival. Warner Music recording artist Aaron Goodvin headlined before several thousand people in Millwoods before pulling an all-nighter to Dauphin, MN, to perform at Countryfest the next day.
