October 12, 2016 - The Dungarees Twenty Four Hour Gigathon at the Yellowhead Brewery

On October 12th, 2016, at 8:00 AM in the morning The Dungarees launched a 24 hour Gigathon at the Yellowhead Brewery. The event was organized to raise funds for the Alberta Cancer Foundation for the Patient Financial Assistance Program, which helps patients and family members cover costs like living expenses incurred during cancer treatment. With assistance from musician friends and former bandmates from other bands they had played in, there was always at least one member of The Dungarees on stage at all times until 8 AM the next morning. The goal was to raise $10,000 and this amount was topped by several thousand. The Dungarees are Rob Angus, Darrek Anderson, Kiron Jhass, James Murdoch and Ben Shillabeer.
