September 23, 2016 - Danny Hooper Stockyard Reunion
On September 23, 2016 Danny Hooper hosted a reunion party at the Blanchford Hanger in Ft Edmonton Park, for former patrons and fans of Danny Hooper's Stockyard , Edmonton's first country nightclub, which opened in 1979. The venue regularly featured big-name Nashville acts like Merle Haggard, Ray Price, Tammy Wynette, Gene Watson, Faron Young, Ferlin Husky, and dozens more before it closed it's doors in 1986.
