August 3 to 6, 2017 - 25th Annual Big Valley Jamboree
The 25th anniversary edition of the annual Big Valley Jamboree took place from August 3rd to 6th, 2017 in Camrose. The weekend started off with the annual Kick-off party on Thursday night, followed by 3 full days of main stage entertainment and 3 more nights of great music in the outdoor Coors Banquet Saloon, along with the Production World Songwriters' Workshop, where songwriters showcased their material in an acoustic setting, the ATB Financial Homegrown Talent Stage, where young artists under the age of 18 competed to have the opportunity to perform on main stage on the Sunday night before the evening headliners, the West Coast Lumberjack Show, the Bulls For Breakfast bull riding competition, and much more. Back for the second year was the ACMA showcase stage in the VIP tent where Alberta artists performed between sets on the main stage. Organizers are promising several changes to the concert bowl next year, including a pit area in front of the main stage. The 2018 Big Valley Jamboree will take place from August 2nd to 5th. Already announced for 2018 are 7 are Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Thomas Rhett, Billy Rae Cyrus, Alabama, Florida Georgia Line, Brett Eldridge, Jess Moasaluke, Aaron Goodvin. and Danny Hooper.
