January 21 & 22, 2017 - Alberta Country Music Awards Weekend in Red Deer

The 6th annual Alberta Country Music Awards took place at the Sheraton Red Deer Hotel from January 21st to 22nd, 2017. This year was the first year that the event was expanded to a two day affair. Saturday started with educational sessions and round table discussions, followed by a songwriters show that evening. Sunday saw the 2nd annual Fan Fest at Bower Place followed by the evening gala banquet and award show, which was broadcast live on Shaw Television.
