May 8, 2023 - Remembering Stacie Roper (1976 - 2023)
On May 8th, 2023 , a beloved member of the Alberta and Canadian country music scene, Stacie Roper, suddenly left the concert stage. She performed, recorded, and was a songwriter for over two decades as part of the award winning group, Hey Romeo, along with Rob Shapiro and Darren Gusnowsky. Their albums included Hey Romeo (2007), That's What I Am (2010), Twist of Fate (2012), I Got This (2014) and Ride With Me (2015), which yielded 17 nationally played radio singles, included their Top 20 hit, Searching For You, in 2008. The group won the Canadian Country Music Association Group of the Year Award in 2011 and 2012.
Stacie also performed and recorded as a member of the trio, Blush, with Melanie Switzer and Krysta Scoggins.
She will always be remembered for her beautiful voice and her wonderful smile and disposition,
