July 4, 2014 - Jaydee Bixby House Concert at Dog Rump Creek Tavern
Jaydee Bixby was the special guest at Jazz and Tannis Matthew's Dog Rump Creek house concert on July 4th. This was Jaydee's final appearance before heading home to British Columbia, after winding up shows and festivals in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and western Ontario. With him was his guitar buddy Andrew J Fuller, along with a very special addition, his dad, Bud Bixby. The audience was treated to more than 3 hours of great music, which included some of Jaydee's own material, but also a whole heaping of classic Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty, Elvis Presley, and all the other legends. When the local constabulary failed to stop the music, Mother Nature had to intervene with a severe thunderstorm to try to dampen the fun.
Opening for Jaydee was local girl, Carlee Krec, who wowed the audience with some of her own original material.
