November 15, 2014 - Commander Cody and His Modern Day Airmen at Festival Place
George Frayne, better known as Commander Cody, the originators of the country rock sound in the 1970, brought his high octane show to Festival Place on November 15, 2014. Cody is best known for his hit song, "Hot Rod Lincoln", but has had a whole string of classic country rock albums. At 70 years old he can still rock the house playing bogie woogie, western swing, rhythm and blues, rockabilly and country, and he performed them all at Festival Place much to the delight of a very enthusiastic crowd.
